A CALL TO PRAY
“You must watch and pray,”
I hear the Master say.
All of you who hear the call
Hurry, and get up on the wall.
Far into the distance you must peer
and see what is drawing near.
You must be prepared to go to war
and enforce the victory of the cross once more.
The enemy does not acknowledge defeat,
His most successful weapon is deceit.
When he catches you in a sin,
condemnation he will surely bring.
But God has made a way,
so condemnation cannot stay.
When we confess our sin,
He is faithful and just,
to cleanse us again
God wants us to be aware,
even of the most insignificant affair.
He wants us to care,
and lift every problem up to Him in prayer.
We must issue the battle cry,
until we see Jesus coming in the sky.
We must advance the kingdom of God
into every nation
and bring the good news of God’s salvation.
Watch therefore for ye know
not the hour your Lord doth come.
There is therefore now no
condemnation to them who
are in Christ Jesus, who walk
not after the flesh but after the spirit.
Romans 8: 1
A WORD TO THE CHURCH
Weep, I say, weep for your nation
Give your eyes no sleep,
Cry out for her salvation
America has forgotten Me
The true source of her prosperity
I endowed her with riches and liberty
And blessed her for all the world to see
I have made her a lighthouse shining bright
To walk in love and do what’s right
But instead of taking care of the needy
She has become corrupt and greedy
She confesses to be wise
but has made room for compromise
She believes the enemy’s lies
Her head is lifted up with pride
From her calling she has strayed
The faith of her fathers betrayed
She has altogether lost her ways
Gone are her Glory days
I’ve called my church a watch to keep
But instead of praying she has fallen asleep
Seeking pleasure instead of My treasure
Condoning iniquity instead of seeking purity
Repent is My call to all
Turn your face to the wall
And confess your sin lest you too will fall
My Grace is not cheap; remember the cross
The Blood of my Son is the cost
To redeem all who are lost
Fall on your knees and intercede
Weep for your nation
And plead for her salvation
Open your mouth and make the decree
By the Word of the Lord – the two-edged sword
That her dignity may be restored
That she may rise out of the ashes
And dust herself off one more time
Partake of My new wine
And let My Glory shine
