Chris Hare Tate

What could I give you Lord
In return for my Salvation
The Gold and Diamond mines
Are part of your creation
All the gemstones on this planet
Wouldn’t even make a dent
To express my gratitude
For all the years you spent
Molding me and shaping me
And teaching me to obey
Guiding and fashioning
This puny lump of Clay
As I begin a New Year
My resolution is the same
To draw closer to you Lord
And to magnify your Name

One Response to Resolution

  1. Tom says:

This poem struck a chord with me. To be a child of God is more precious than anything this present passing world can offer, and to be in the presence of God continually to glorify His name is my resolution too – ever closer. Amen.
